I Rode My Bicycle Today
I love to bike ride.
The warm-up over the weekend and Monday helped excite my motivation to ride my bike to work after lunch. My “office” is 5 miles, door-to-door. As such, I get 10 miles of biking round-trip. My bicycle odometer currently reads 685 miles.
Over those miles, I have experienced many things. Birdwatching top the list. From singing warblers to a roosting vultures, I’ve seen all kinds of birds. Also, five years ago, with my biking & birding (from April to October), I lost over 40lbs of flab. And every time I hop on the seat, “childhood excitement” kicks in… I suppose bicycling really is dear to me.
So here we are in March… the landscape is still dull from winter. The grass is not green yet, but baby leaves are starting to bud. Ahhh! Soggy spots of water from the melting snow will soon call out with frog songs. Okay… gotta go!

Posting the Past
I just decided I will post my past Bible study messages that I sent to the email group. I will also attempt to finally post my old posts (before this blog had to be rebuilt).

It took some effort, but after getting Powweb involved I am back on the horn! Yippee!
It was odd… I don’t know exactly what happened to my blog some time ago, but it just stopped working. I think it centered around my initially installing WordPress manually and then upgrading through Powweb’s InstallCentral service. The parameters I used originally did not “line-up” wth my host’s parameters. So the MySQL database on the backend got all messed up and whatnot…
Anyhow, that is now in the past. I am just glad to be back. A lot has transpired over the past months. In starting this blog out again, I do want to attempt to upload my old posts, especially the 12/01/2006 post.
In the meantime look for my latest push to current-ize the JiMel.us site on whole. I’ll be around 🙂
